Brisbane, the metropolitan city of Australia and one of the most
beautiful places to visit on Earth. This city is also known as the central
business district and is famous for Queensland
Museum and Sciencentre, with noted interactive exhibitions, and Queensland
Gallery of Modern Art, among Australia's major contemporary art museums.
. I interned at the Sustainable Minerals Institute, MISHC at University of Queensland, Brisbane.
My work
involved analyzing permitting documentation
submitted by several companies in the coal seam gas industry concerning
transportation and road traffic impacts and management. . I also worked with
other three summer students as a team to undertake an initial assessment of the
cumulative impact in the Surat Basin where several companies are developing
parallel projects.
I presented
a study report portraying the research outcomes that included a baseline of
information and an initial assessment of the cumulative impact in specific
districts of the Surat Basin. Me and my teammates developed and submitted
detailed environmental impact statements, social impact assessments and environmental/social impact
management plans for regulatory approval.

That said, Brisbane is an amazing place to be in if
you’re an avid traveller. Not only is the city itself very picturesque and has
quite a lot of history, its proximity to various popular destinations on the Southern
Seaboard makes it a fitting launching pad for your travels. During the tenure
of my Internship, my supervisor offered us a chance to attend Youth Climate
Conference at Monash University, Melbourne. It turned out to be a tremendous learning
experience.
"I got this internship the hard way, But the more hard I work, the more lucky i get ;)"
